Welcome to the website of First Baptist Church of Maricopa, Arizona.
By God’s grace, First Baptist Church has been proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the city of Maricopa and surrounding areas for over 60 years. The Lord established this local body in 1954, when Maricopa was still a small farming community. Even then, God was at work—gathering a people for Himself, committed to the faithful preaching of His Word, the exaltation of Christ, and the building up of His church.
Though the town has grown rapidly, and the surrounding fields have given way to neighborhoods and highways, the mission of First Baptist Church has not changed. We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ through the faithful exposition of Scripture, gospel-centered worship, fervent prayer, and loving fellowship.
God has sovereignly preserved and sustained this congregation through many seasons. Located providentially on Highway 347 (N John Wayne Pkwy), we continue to be a visible and spiritual light in this community—calling sinners to repentance, proclaiming the hope of salvation in Christ alone, and equipping the saints for the work of ministry.
