A Transformed Life
“A Transformed Life” (Romans 12:2) teaches that the surrendered life described in Romans 12:1 is lived out through resisting the influence of the world and pursuing inward transformation by the renewing of the mind through God’s Word. Believers are called to be insulated from the world’s sinful value system—not isolated from people, but refusing to be shaped by culture—and instead to experience true transformation, a Spirit-driven change from the inside out that reshapes thinking, desires, and behavior. As the mind is renewed by Scripture, believers gain clarity to discern and walk in God’s will, discovering through obedience that His will is good, acceptable, and perfect, and that true sanctification comes not by mere resistance but by a greater love for Christ that displaces the love of the world.
